Imam Ahmed Alamine

Imam Ahmed Alamine began his Islamic scholarship under the guidance of his father, an imam and professor. He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Islamic Studies and a Master of Business Administration. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Philanthropic Leadership at Indiana University.

In 2017, he became the Imam of the Indianapolis Muslim Community Association (IMCA). In 2024, Imam Alamine was promoted to Executive Director to oversee the IMCA and its subsidiaries, including the Masjid, full-time school, Weekend School, Food Pantry, free health clinic, and Islamic funeral services.

He also serves as a Sheriff Chaplain with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and, in 2019, became the first Muslim Police Chaplain with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. Imam Alamine is a prominent interfaith leader dedicated to fostering understanding, compassion, service, and peaceful coexistence.
